Chocolate, Pretzel, Almond Clusters
Chocolate, Pretzel, Almond Clusters!!
Ok who doesn’t love the “sweet and salty” combo of a treat? Well, I do and I can tell you I have been making versions of this for YEARS because it’s so fast, easy and absolutely delicious! I make this all year round and keep it in zip closed plastic bag in the refrigerator, my daughter and I can grab a bite when we need a sweet fix!
Here is what you need:
Semi-sweet chocolate chips ( or dark anything you like )
Pretzel sticks
Almonds ( I used slivered I had from another recipe )
A microwave safe bowl and foil or parchment paper
So easy – just put the chocolate chips in the microwave safe bowl ( as many as you want ) I would start with a cup – then heat in 25 second intervals – taking it out to stir it each time ( should only take 2 or 3 times depending on how much you put in the bowl ) Meanwhile put the pretzels in a bag and smash them with your hand or a back of the spoon to crush them a bit . Once the chocolate is melted add the almonds and pretzels and stir with a spoon to coat evenly – then transfer the mixture to foil or parchment paper and spread into an even layer. Next put the mixture into the refrigerator for a few hours until it sets. Then take it out and break it into clusters and serve! When storing just place back into plastic bag and keep it in the refrigerator until you crave another piece! :)
I hope this post has inspired you to use some pretzels or nuts you have in you kitchen and turn it into and amazing treat for your family to enjoy!
