Disney Inspired Treat!
Happy Monday everyone! This morning’s blog is inspired by my weekend trip to Walt Disney World with my daughter Laila! I wanted to share a few pics of our trip and what we made this morning to snack on this week to remember our trip. If you haven’t figured out from my previous posts, I don’t bake :( that being said I do make desserts just different ones and this is something I have been making for years in different variations! Melted chocolate and pretzels are one of my favorite combos because I love salty and sweet combined. Laila and I decided since pretzels look like mouse ears we would make these in Walt Diseny’s honor. :) It’s so easy, just take a glass bowl and place it over a pot with about an inch of water in the pot making sure water does not touch bottom of the bowl. Then add 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and to kick it up add 1/4 cup peanut butter ( why not! ) and bring the water to a simmer until the chocolate and peanut butter start to melt. Then carefully stir the mixture until it is smooth and then turn off the heat. Next add the pretzels to the bowl and stir until all of the pretzels are coated with the chocolate mixture . Then take a large plate and cover it with wax paper and place the coated pretzels on the plate. Then all you do is stick that plate into the refrigerator for a few hours until the chocolate is hard and enjoy! Once these amazing treats are cold, I put them in a zip lock bag and keep them in refrigerator for whenever my sweet tooth comes a calling!
I hope our trip to Disney has inspired you to get in the kitchen and make a great treat to enjoy all week long !!! Trust me kids and adults will be addicted to these they are amazing!!!!
