Easy Ornament Sugar Cookies

Well, it’s that time of year for holiday treats and this always means some type of sugar cookie! I decided to take a short cut and have Laila help me create any easy, fun and delicious cookie from store bought dough with our twist on it! I feel like life is so hectic these days and everyone is rushing around so why not make baking cookies still be fun and take less time! :) Here is what you need:

1 store bought roll of sugar cookie dough

Food coloring – red and green

Sprinkles , candy , chocolate chips or whatever your heart desires for toppings

Cooking spray

Cookie cutters

Rolling pin

Flour

So easy, separate you dough in to two bowls and add food coloring to each and mix well. The sprinkle some flour on a cutting board and roll put each ball of dough and then cut out your shapes and place on a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Next, decorate each cookie and then bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes until done. These cookies look festive and this is a great way to get your kids into the kitchen and let them be creative!

I hope this post has inspired you to hit the grocery store for a few items that will help making lasting memories in the kitchen with your family!!!
