Chicken Parmesan Burgers

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 medium white onion grated on cheese grater
- 2 garlic cloves grated on cheese grater
- 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- salt and pepper
- Buns or bread of choice

- In a large mixing bowl add the grated onion, garlic, marinara sauce, cheese, egg white, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning and some salt and pepper and mix well to combine.
- Then add in the ground chicken and mix to combine all the ingredients, but do not over mix.
- Next take a handful of the ground chicken- roll it in your hand and then form patties of your size of choice- I got 3 patties but I made them a little bigger than usual.
- Next on a grill pan coated with olive oil cook the patties about 5 minutes per side making sure you get a good brown crust on both sides- I cover the grill pan with a lid for the last few minutes to make sure burgers are cooked through and no longer pink so be sure and check to make sure they are done
- Once burgers are almost done top with some mozzarella cheese just until it melts and you may have to cover them again to get the cheese to fully melt. I also grill my ciabatta bread rolls at this point, but you can use whatever bun you love.
- Last, you just build your burger...I place a piece of lettuce on the bottom, then the patty and add your favorite marinara sauce to the top!
