Instructions
- First start with the marinade, add all the marinade ingredients into a small bowl and mix well to combine. Taste it and see if you want to add any more of the ingredients to the sauce. Then place the Ahi Tuna steak in a large ziplock bag and pour the marinade over the top. Then move the bag all around to make sure it is coated evenly. Place in the refrigerator for a few hours or as long as you have.
- Then take the marinated Ahi Tuna steak and place it in a skillet with the safflower oil on medium/ high heat and sear it on both sides for about 1 minute or 1 & 1/2 minutes. You want to make sure you brown the outside but keep the inside very rare. Then simply transfer the tuna to a cutting board and slice into even size pieces.
- Then make sure to mix your Sriiracha Mayo ingredients and I transfer mine to a small ziplock back and cut the corner tip to create a piping bag. Then top your seared tuna with the mayo, scallions and sesame seeds.
- I like to serve this with store bought seaweed salad and serve this with a side of soy sauce for dipping and it is devious that way! My daughter loves this recipe and it is so easy to make. I hope you love this recipe as much as we do. :)
