In a large mixing bowl add the spinach, zucchini, garlic powder, onion powder, 1/3 marinara sauce, cheese, herbs, bread crumbs and some salt and pepper and mix well to combine - then add in the ground turkey and mix again.
Next with your hands form meatballs and place each one in the pan with olive oil on medium/ high heat. ( these will be soft and a little sticky but don't worry they will come out perfect ) Carefully turn them to brown each side but do not cook them all the way - it will take about 8 minutes
Next in a pot on medium heat add the rest of the jar of marinara sauce, the can of crushed tomatoes and the red pepper flakes and then add in the meatballs - cook for about an hour simmering them until all the flavors have combined and then serve!
These meatballs are SO moist and delicious!!! I serve them with whole grain pasta but use whatever healthy pasta you like.
